The History:

In 1710 a wooden church was built in the village Runovo, Ozerskiy district in honor of Feast of the Ascension with the outhouse in the name of Saint Nicholas. The church renewed 1748×1768.  For the first time the building and dedication of the new church is mentioned in Tula records in 1826

In 1902, after the burning of the wooden Church the building of a new stone church started. In 1906 it was dedicated. During the Soviet period it was destroyed. On the 25^th of October the church was sent to the community of believers. Worship services started again in 1992
